Choose, Prepare and Order the Right Finish A confident finish decision starts with the job the package must do, not with the longest decoration list. Our role is to help connect the intended customer impression to the product, structure, material, artwork, quantity, and opening moment. That process keeps a gold foil logo, holographic edition cue, embossed mark, Spot UV detail, or soft-touch surface from becoming an isolated effect. It also gives production a clearer approved specification to follow.

   Start With the Customer Moment

   Decide where the box will be judged: on a retail shelf, in product photography, during a gift or PR handoff, or when a delivery package opens. Then identify the first cue that should carry the message. A full-surface matte, gloss, or soft-touch treatment may set the overall character, while foil, embossing, debossing, or Spot UV may be better used as a controlled point of emphasis. This makes the finish answer a real brand and customer need.

   Match the Finish to the Product and Structure

   Share the product’s length, width, height, irregular shape, inner container or wrapping, pack count, insert needs, arrangement, and removal clearance. These inputs guide the box and dieline rather than relying on an invented standard size. Material and structure also affect the final finishing route. Cardstock, paperboard, kraft, rigid greyboard, and supported corrugated formats are available, but the exact finish, placement, and construction should be confirmed together before production.

   Build One Clear Surface Hierarchy

   Use the finish to establish either the overall mood or a selective focal point. Covering every element with equal emphasis can make the design harder to read. The guide below shows the role each route can play; final compatibility still depends on the approved material, artwork, structure, and production specification.

   Keep Product Ranges Visibly Related

   For several variants, editions, or box sizes, keep the parent identity stable while changing only the cues customers need to distinguish. One range might retain the same matte base and brand position while changing foil color, product artwork, or an edition mark. This supports range navigation without making each box look unrelated. Multi-design orders should be reviewed as one production plan because repeated setups can affect the confirmed schedule.

   Prepare Artwork With the Finish in Mind

   Artwork support is available for dielines or templates, file checking, resizing, bleed, safe zones, and design preparation. Accepted production files include AI, PDF, PSD, and EPS. Send the artwork with the product details and intended finish areas, and the team can confirm how those areas should be supplied for the selected process. This helps keep logos, names, borders, patterns, and information panels aligned with the approved box structure before proofing.

6. 
   Review the Right Proof Before Production

   A digital proof is available for every approved order and should be checked for artwork, placement, wording, and the agreed box specification before production begins. A digital proof is not a physical prototype. For a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, a physical prototype may be available, and its cost may be adjusted into the resulting order where approved. Free samples or unconditional prototypes should not be assumed.

7. 
   Plan Quantity and Unit Cost Together

   Paperboard, cardstock, kraft, and supported corrugated orders may start from 50 boxes. Supported rigid-box orders may start from 25. Relevant customization remains available at these starting quantities when it suits the approved structure and production specification. Per-unit pricing generally improves as quantity rises, with more visible price differences often appearing around 500 units. No fixed saving percentage should be assumed, and one-box production is not offered.
