In-House Production
Custom soft-touch lamination boxes help your packaging feel considered from the first contact, giving customers a smoother, more refined way to experience your brand. In a crowded retail display, sales meeting, gift handoff or delivery arrival, customers may decide what a product seems worth before they study the details. Soft-touch lamination changes that first encounter by giving printed paperboard, kraft, rigid or selected presentation formats a distinctive tactile surface. Coordinated color, structure and finishing can then make the box feel intentional, guide attention toward the right brand cues and support a receiving or opening moment that matches the product inside. We help you turn that surface choice into a complete packaging direction, not an isolated coating decision. Your box can be planned around the product, channel and intended impression, with a structure, material, print approach and interior arrangement that work together from first sight through opening. That direction is supported by in-house printing, lamination and finishing, along with custom sizing, exterior and interior printing, inserts, artwork checking, dieline support and digital proofing. Paperboard, cardstock and kraft orders may start from 50 boxes, while supported rigid formats may start from 25. Every approved order includes a digital proof, so you can review the structure and artwork before production begins.

BOX ROUTES BY CUSTOMER MOMENT
Choose a Structure That Carries the Finish
Soft-touch lamination can support very different customer moments, but the structure still determines how the box is handled, opened and understood. A compact folding carton may suit retail or direct handoff, while a sleeve-and-tray or rigid format can create a more deliberate reveal for gifting, launches or curated sets. Start with the product count, fit, channel and opening sequence, then choose the format that carries the tactile surface naturally. The goal is a box that feels coherent—outside, inside and in use—rather than a standard structure with a finish added at the end.
Folding Carton Boxes
Use straight tuck, reverse tuck, auto-bottom or lock-bottom formats to give retail products a clean, tactile outer pack that supports quick recognition and efficient product access.
- Single or multi-product sizing
- Tuck and bottom choices
- Exterior and interior printing
- Retail or handoff ready
A practical route for brands that want a refined feel without changing how customers access the product.

Customize NowMATERIAL FEEL, MADE CLEAR
Choose the Surface Character Behind the Finish
The board beneath soft-touch lamination affects how the package holds its shape, carries print and feels in the hand. Smooth paperboard can keep detailed artwork and color systems clear, while kraft can combine a natural visual base with a more considered outer touch. Rigid greyboard can give gift, launch and presentation boxes greater physical presence. Premium paper wraps can shape the character of a rigid box before any selective accent is added. We help you choose the material by the product, structure and impression you want customers to receive—not by thickness alone.
Smooth Paperboard
SBS paperboard and cardstock suit folding cartons, sleeves and other compact product formats where clear print, controlled color and a neat structural profile matter. The result can feel polished without becoming visually heavy, helping customers read the product, variant and brand cues quickly.
Kraft with Character
Kraft gives the package a natural visual base, while white ink, full-color printing and a planned soft-touch surface can create a more deliberate contrast. This route suits brands that want the material character to remain visible without letting the box feel unfinished or generic.
Rigid Greyboard
Rigid greyboard gives presentation, gift and set boxes greater physical presence. A selected paper wrap, soft-touch lamination and coordinated closure can make the package feel substantial before opening, while inserts and interior printing help the same standard continue around the product.
Premium Paper Wraps
Glossy, matte, uncoated, linen and other paper options are available for rigid overwrapping. We help narrow the choice to the paper and finish combination that supports the intended brand character, rather than adding texture or decoration that competes with the product story.
PRINT THAT HOLDS THE BRAND
Make Every Panel Work for Recognition
A soft-touch surface is most valuable when the printed design gives customers something clear to notice and remember. Use CMYK, PMS or digital printing to make the product name, range, variant and parent brand easy to understand at first sight. Artwork can continue across the front, back, top, bottom and inside surfaces, allowing the box to stay connected through retail display, gifting, product photography or delivery. Our role is to help turn those available print areas into a controlled visual system, so the tactile finish supports the message instead of becoming the message.
- Keep core colors consistent across variants
- Make the product name easy to find
- Carry artwork beyond the front panel
- Build editions around launches or occasions
- Continue brand cues inside the box
- Stay recognizable across selected channels
TOUCH WITH A CLEAR PURPOSE
Control What Customers Notice and Feel First
Soft-touch lamination should create a clear surface mood, not simply add another item to a finish list. It can calm busy artwork, make a box feel more considered in the hand and give selected brand elements a stronger stage. From there, foil, spot UV, raised spot UV, embossing or debossing can be used selectively to direct attention. We help you decide what should remain quiet, what should stand forward and how the finished box should support the product’s intended quality level across retail, gifting, handoff or opening.
-
Set the Overall Feel
Use soft-touch lamination as the shared surface language across the main panels. It can give the pack a smoother, more restrained character, helping color, typography and structure feel coordinated rather than visually disconnected.
-
Create Contrast Around Key Cues
Selective foil, spot UV, raised spot UV, embossing or debossing can bring the brand name, product cue or limited-edition detail forward. The purpose is to guide attention with contrast, not to compete for attention on every panel.
-
Separate Editions Without Losing the Brand
Use a controlled accent change to distinguish a launch, gift release or seasonal version while keeping the same soft-touch foundation. Customers can recognize the parent brand while still understanding that the edition has a different role or occasion.
CARRY THE EXPERIENCE INSIDE
Let the Opening Continue the Brand Promise
The exterior may establish a refined expectation, but the interior decides whether that impression continues when the box opens. For product sets, client gifts, launch kits, samplers or subscription formats, the arrangement should help customers understand what they have received and where to begin. Interior printing can continue the visual language, while foam, paperboard, kraft, cardboard or corrugated inserts can give products and components a deliberate place. We help coordinate the reveal, spacing and lift-out so opening feels like part of the brand experience rather than the point where it ends.
-
Continue Keep the Identity Present
Carry selected colors, artwork or concise messaging onto the inside panels so the brand remains visible after the exterior has done its job. This creates continuity without forcing every surface to repeat the same design.
-
Guide Give Every Item a Clear Place
Use inserts, dividers or trays to organize products, variants and components around the way customers will view, compare or remove them. Clear arrangement can make a set easier to understand and more intentional to handle.
-
Reward Shape the First Reveal
Plan what becomes visible first, how the product is framed and how it is lifted out. A controlled reveal can give gifting, PR, launch and curated-set formats a more considered sense of discovery.
PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE Plan a Soft-Touch Box With Fewer Surprises
A successful soft-touch box begins with decisions that protect the product, support the sales channel and give the finish a clear role. Our team can help translate your product measurements, artwork, quantity and opening goals into a production-ready plan. The steps below show what to prepare, what we will review with you and where project conditions may affect the final route.
-
Plan the Fit Around the Real Product
Start with the product’s length, width and height, then include anything that changes its working size: an inner container, wrapping, multiple units, accessories, an instruction card or a protective insert. Irregular products may also need photos or a physical reference so the structure can be planned around their actual shape. Tell us how the product should be placed and removed. A close retail fit, a gift-set arrangement and a component kit may need different clearances even when the outer dimensions look similar. We use those inputs to prepare the custom size and structural dieline rather than forcing the product into a stock format.
-
Choose the Structure for the Customer Moment
Decide where the box will do most of its work: on a retail shelf, during a client handoff, inside a launch kit, as a gift or in a selected mailer format. Folding cartons support efficient access and compact presentation. Sleeve-and-tray, two-piece and rigid formats can create a more staged reveal. Magnetic rigid boxes can support repeat access when the product and use case call for it. The best choice is the structure that serves the product and channel before the soft-touch surface is added. We can compare practical options around pack count, closure, insert needs, interior visibility and the way the customer should reach the product.
-
Build Artwork for Recognition, Not Decoration
Prepare the artwork around the information customers need to notice first. That may be the brand name, product type, variant, flavor, shade, model or occasion. Printing is available on the front, back, top, bottom, outside and inside, so the visual hierarchy can continue beyond the main panel where it supports the experience. Accepted production files include AI, PDF, PSD and EPS. Artwork checking, resizing, bleed and safe-zone assistance, design support and dieline or template support are available. We can also help align multiple variants so each one feels distinct while remaining visibly connected to the same parent brand.
-
Use Soft Touch as the Foundation
Treat soft-touch lamination as the overall surface direction, then decide whether another finish has a clear job. Foil can give a selected brand or edition cue more visual weight. Spot UV or raised spot UV can introduce contrast against the softer background. Embossing or debossing can add tactile emphasis without covering the full design. This approach keeps the finish plan disciplined. Instead of applying every available effect, identify the one or two details that should receive attention and let the remaining surface support them. Our in-house printing, lamination and finishing capability allows the print and finish choices to be planned as one coordinated job.

Review the Dieline and Proof Before Production
Every approved order includes a digital proof. Use it to review the dieline, artwork placement, panel order, colors, copy and any inside printing before production begins. A digital proof is not a physical prototype, but it gives you a clear approval stage before the job moves forward. A physical prototype may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project. Where approved, its cost may be adjusted into the resulting order. This is not an unrestricted free-sample program, and one-box production is not offered. No die or plate fee is charged for supported jobs.
-
Plan Quantity, Pricing and Schedule
Paperboard, cardstock and kraft orders may start from 50 boxes. Supported rigid-box orders may start from 25. These starting quantities can still include relevant custom sizing, printing, finish and insert choices, subject to the selected structure and production specification. Per-unit pricing generally improves as quantity rises, with more visible differences often appearing around 500 units. Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate, while complex multi-design orders may require a separately confirmed schedule. For programs going to several locations, the same order can be shipped to multiple addresses. Design firms and white-label partners can also use the production service, with project details and destination requirements confirmed before scheduling. Bring the product measurements, expected quantity, artwork status and intended customer moment to the quote conversation. We can then help narrow the structure, material and finish route before you commit to production.
SOFT-TOUCH BOX QUESTIONS
Answers Before You Design, Finish and Order
It gives the box a smoother, more considered tactile character that customers can notice when they pick it up or open it. The value is not the finish alone; it is how that surface works with the structure, print and brand hierarchy. We can help use soft touch as the overall mood, then keep product names, variants or selected accents clear so the package feels deliberate rather than over-finished.
Soft-touch lamination can be planned across supported paperboard, cardstock, kraft and rigid-box specifications. Available structures include folding cartons, sleeves and trays, two-piece boxes and rigid formats, among other custom styles. The right route depends on the product dimensions, closure, print plan and intended opening. We review those details before confirming the material and finish combination for production.
Yes. Soft-touch lamination can provide the quieter overall surface while foil, spot UV, raised spot UV, embossing or debossing gives selected details more emphasis. The strongest result usually comes from assigning each effect a clear purpose, such as highlighting the brand name or separating a limited edition. We can help narrow the combination so the finish plan supports recognition instead of making every panel compete.
Yes. Printing is available on inside surfaces as well as the front, back, top, bottom and exterior panels. Interior color, artwork or concise messaging can continue the identity after opening, while inserts or dividers can organize the product around the intended reveal. The exact interior route depends on the structure, product arrangement and production specification, and we can plan it with the dieline before approval.
Yes. Custom sizing can be planned around the product’s length, width and height, along with inner containers, wrapping, pack count, accessories and the insert arrangement. Foam, paperboard, kraft, cardboard and corrugated insert options are available for relevant projects. Share the real packed configuration and how customers should remove the product, and we can prepare the fit and dieline without inventing stock dimensions.
Yes. Paperboard, cardstock and kraft orders may start from 50 boxes, while supported rigid formats may start from 25. Relevant custom sizing, exterior or interior printing, finish and insert choices remain available at those starting quantities where they suit the approved structure and production specification. This gives a smaller brand room to launch, test a range or prepare a gift edition without defaulting to generic stock packaging.
AI, PDF, PSD and EPS files are accepted, and support is available for dielines, templates, artwork checking, resizing, bleed and safe zones. Every approved order includes a digital proof so you can review the structure and artwork before production. A digital proof is not a physical sample. A physical prototype may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, with its cost adjusted into the resulting order where approved.
