In-House Production
Turn a practical board choice into packaging that looks intentional, carries your identity clearly, and gives customers a more considered experience from first sight through opening. At retail, in a sales presentation, or when an order reaches its recipient, the box helps customers decide what the product and brand represent. Custom recycled, duplex, or CCNB board boxes let you coordinate shape, panel layout, print, and surface detail around that moment. Clear information can make a range easier to navigate, consistent artwork can reinforce recognition, and a planned opening can carry the same visual language inside, so the box can feel deliberate rather than generic wherever customers meet it. We help you turn that intention into a production-ready specification instead of leaving you to connect separate material, structural, and artwork decisions alone. Your project is planned around the product, the selling or handoff setting, and the impression you want to create. Guidance covers fit, style, print placement, finishes, interior treatment, and approval so the final direction remains both expressive and workable. Available routes include straight and reverse tuck cartons, auto-bottom and lock-bottom boxes, sleeve-and-tray formats, two-piece boxes, windows, and display structures. Exterior and interior printing can use digital, offset, or flexographic methods with CMYK or PMS color. Matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV, foil, embossing, debossing, aqueous coating, windows, and inserts can be considered where they suit the approved build. Artwork checking, dieline support, and a digital proof help you review the job before production.

STRUCTURES FOR THE JOB
Choose the Format That Supports the Customer Moment
The same board can create very different customer experiences depending on how the box closes, opens, displays, and holds the product. A compact retail carton may need quick product recognition and straightforward access, while a sleeve, two-piece box, or display format may need a more deliberate reveal or stronger shelf organization. We help you choose a route around the product’s dimensions, weight, pack count, information needs, and channel—not around style names alone. Each option below can be developed as a custom paperboard box, subject to the final material, fit, and production specification.
Straight Tuck End
Use a familiar folding-carton route when you want branding, product details, and access to feel direct and uncomplicated. The proportions and panel plan can be tailored around the item and the information customers need to see.
- Single-item carton planning
- Product-led custom sizing
- Outside and inside print
- Retail or handoff use
A clear, adaptable route for presenting everyday products without making the pack feel generic.

Reverse Tuck End
Choose a reverse-tuck route when the approved dieline better suits the product, artwork plan, and packing workflow. We shape the box around practical use while keeping the visible panels coordinated with the brand system.
- Flexible product configuration
- Dieline built to fit
- Coordinated panel artwork
- Retail access planning
Useful when structure and artwork need to work together without sacrificing a composed customer-facing result.

Auto-Bottom Boxes
Choose an auto-bottom style when the product and packing process call for that structural route. The design can keep the main brand cues prominent while the box is planned around fit, handling, and opening.
- Product-specific pack planning
- Auto-bottom structural route
- Main-panel brand visibility
- Retail and handoff suitability
A practical choice for pairing a purposeful base format with clear, consistent brand communication.

Lock-Bottom Boxes
Use a lock-bottom style where the approved product specification calls for a different base construction. We coordinate dimensions, board, and print placement so the structural decision supports rather than competes with the customer-facing design.
- Item and pack-count planning
- Lock-bottom base format
- Full-color panel artwork
- Product-led handling needs
Brings structure and visual order together for a box that feels considered at first contact.

Sleeve and Tray Boxes
Turn opening into a more deliberate interaction with a sleeve-and-tray format. The outer sleeve can establish the identity, while the inner component can continue color, messaging, or arrangement for a connected first reveal.
- Single item or set
- Coordinated sleeve and tray
- Print inside and outside
- Guided slide-out reveal
Well suited to brands that want the opening to add meaning rather than simply expose the product.

Two-Piece Boxes
Use a two-piece box to separate the opening into a clear lid-and-base moment. Exterior artwork can frame the first view, while interior print or an insert can organize what the customer sees next.
- Product or gift-set format
- Custom lid-and-base fit
- Exterior-to-interior continuity
- Deliberate lift-off opening
A strong route for products that benefit from a more composed handoff, presentation, or reveal.

Window Boxes
Let customers see a selected part of the product while the surrounding box carries the brand story and essential information. Die-cut windows and window patching can be planned in varied shapes and sizes for the approved specification.
- Product visibility by design
- Custom window shape
- Printed surrounding panels
- Retail comparison support
Balances product viewing with enough branded surface to keep the pack recognizable and informative.

Counter Display Boxes
Bring individual boxes into a coordinated retail group with a counter display format. The display and inserts can be planned around how products are arranged, identified, and selected while keeping the parent brand visible.
- Multi-unit retail display
- Insert-led product arrangement
- Parent-brand visibility
- Point-of-selection use
Helps a range read as one organized offer instead of a collection of unrelated packs.
Customize NowBOARD CHARACTER BY DESIGN
Choose the Physical Character Your Brand Needs
Material choice sets the physical tone before customers read a headline or notice a finish. For recycled, duplex, or CCNB board boxes, the right specification should be chosen around the product, structural style, print plan, inside appearance, and the level of substance the brand wants to communicate. Available paperboard thicknesses run from 14 pt to 24 pt, and white, kraft, or coated inside options are available where they suit the approved construction. We help you connect those choices to the intended result so the box feels deliberate in the hand, clear in view, and consistent with the experience promised outside.
Set the Visual Baseline
The board surface is the base for every color, type detail, and finish that follows. We help select and approve a paperboard route that supports the artwork coverage and overall tone you want, whether the direction is restrained, graphic, product-led, or gift-oriented.
Choose Substance Around the Product
Board thickness should follow the item, dimensions, structure, and handling needs rather than become a quality claim by itself. Within the supported 14 pt to 24 pt range, the goal is to create an appropriate physical presence without overspecifying the box.
Plan the Inside Deliberately
A white, kraft, or coated inside can change how the package feels when it opens. Pair the approved inside treatment with interior print, an insert, or an intentionally unprinted surface to keep the experience aligned with the brand.
PRINT THAT CLARIFIES CHOICE
Make Products and Brand Cues Easy to Recognize
On a material-led box, printing turns a board specification into a clear customer-facing identity. Use color, layout, product naming, and panel hierarchy to help people understand the range quickly—on a shelf, in product photography, during a sales presentation, or when the box arrives. Digital, offset, and flexographic printing are available, together with CMYK, PMS or spot color, metallic ink, and outside or inside coverage. That freedom lets you keep the parent brand consistent, distinguish products or editions, and continue selected visual cues beyond the first panel without forcing every surface to compete for attention.
- Keep the parent brand visible
- Distinguish variants with clear cues
- Organize product details by priority
- Extend artwork across chosen panels
- Continue selected graphics inside
- Stay coherent across customer moments
SURFACE DETAILS WITH PURPOSE
Use Finishes to Guide Attention and Feel
A polished box does not come from adding every available effect. It comes from deciding what customers should notice first and how the surface should support the brand’s intended quality. Matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, raised effects, and aqueous coating are available for supported paperboard specifications. We help you choose only the treatments that strengthen the design hierarchy—whether that means calming the overall surface, giving the name or product cue more weight, or separating a launch or gift edition from the core range.
-
Set the Overall Tone
Matte or soft-touch can support a restrained, considered direction, while gloss or aqueous coating can be selected when the artwork calls for a different surface response. The aim is a coherent feel, not decoration for its own sake.
-
Direct Attention With Restraint
Use foil, spot UV, embossing, debossing, or raised effects selectively to give a logo, product name, pattern, or key message more visual or tactile importance. Restraint keeps the emphasis meaningful.
-
Give Editions a Clear Role
Change a selected finish, foil shade, or surface contrast for launches, promotions, and gift programs while holding the wider artwork system steady. This helps the edition feel purposeful without losing connection to the parent brand.
DESIGN BEYOND THE OUTSIDE
Keep the Brand Experience Moving After Opening
The opening should complete the reason the box was chosen, not interrupt it. For a single-product retail carton, that may mean clean access and a clear continuation of brand cues. For a set, presentation box, or sales kit, it may mean a more guided reveal, deliberate product spacing, and easier selection. Inside printing, paperboard or cardstock inserts, corrugated inserts, cardboard dividers, trays, and custom die-cut foam can be considered where the approved structure supports them. We help plan what appears first, how items are arranged, and how the customer moves from the outer message to the product itself.
-
Continue Keep the Identity Connected
Carry selected colors, artwork, or short messages onto the inside surfaces so the visual system does not disappear when the box opens. The inside can echo the exterior without repeating it panel for panel.
-
Guide Give Every Item a Clear Place
Use inserts, dividers, trays, or custom-cut foam to arrange products or components around the intended sequence. A considered layout can make sets easier to understand and products easier to select or remove.
-
Reward Shape the First Reveal
Coordinate the opening style, first visible surface, and product arrangement so the reveal feels appropriate to the offer—direct for an everyday carton, or more staged for a gift, kit, sampler, or presentation format.
Plan the Specification, Artwork, and Order With Confidence
A useful quote starts with more than a material name. It starts with the product, the way the box will be used, the surfaces that need to communicate, and the opening experience you want customers to receive. Our role is to turn those inputs into a clear paperboard specification, approved dieline, production artwork, and realistic order plan. The steps below show what to prepare and where our team can support the decision, without asking you to guess dimensions, board, or production details on your own.
-
Start With the Product, Not a Stock Size
Share the finished product’s length, width, and height, along with its shape, weight, wrapping or inner container, pack count, and any insert or divider you expect to use. For a set, explain how the items should sit together and how much removal space customers need. We use those inputs to plan the box and dieline around the actual configuration. Exact dimensions are confirmed through the approved specification rather than guessed from a general size range.
-
Match the Structure to the Selling Moment
Tell us where the box will be seen and how it will be handled: on a shelf, in product photography, during a sales presentation, at a gift handoff, or in selected delivery use. A tuck carton, auto-bottom, lock-bottom, sleeve-and-tray, two-piece, window, or display format creates a different balance of access, visible panels, and arrangement. We help narrow the route by product configuration, information needs, packing workflow, and desired opening—not by style popularity alone.
-
Confirm the Board and Any Environmental Wording
Confirm the exact board specification before using an environmental statement. A recycled, duplex, or CCNB selection does not by itself establish a recycled-content percentage or universal certification. Tell us any recyclable, FSC, compostable, biodegradable, or plastic-free wording you plan to use. FSC paper is available for selected materials, not all. We will align the stock and any available documentation before the statement enters approved artwork.
-
Build Artwork on the Approved Dieline
Production artwork can be supplied in AI, PDF, PSD, or EPS format. Dieline or template support, artwork checking, resizing, and help with bleed and safe zones are available, so a first-time buyer does not need to solve prepress alone. We can also help adapt artwork for the confirmed dimensions. A digital proof is available for every approved order, giving you a clear review point before the job enters production.
-
Order a Quantity That Matches the Plan
Supported paperboard orders may start from 50 boxes. Starting at that quantity does not automatically remove relevant choices in custom sizing, material, exterior or interior printing, finishes, or inserts; the final combination remains subject to the approved structure and production specification. Per-unit pricing generally improves as quantity increases, and the difference may become more visible around 500 units. No die or plate fee applies to supported custom box projects. One-box production is not offered.
-
Use Proofing to Reduce Avoidable Surprises
Every approved order has a digital proof, giving you a review point for the artwork, layout, and agreed specification before production. A physical prototype may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, and its cost may be adjusted into the resulting order where approved. It is not an unrestricted free sample. Use proofing to confirm the approved job, not to replace accurate product measurements or final material decisions.
-
Set the Schedule From Approval Backward
Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval, and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate, while complex multi-design orders may require a separately confirmed schedule. If one order contains many short-run designs or extra setups, confirm timing before launch or event commitments are made. Bring the product details, desired customer moment, artwork status, quantity, and target date to the quote. We will help connect them into one approved plan so your team can order with fewer assumptions and a clearer view of what will be produced.
BOARD BOX BUYER QUESTIONS
Answers Before You Choose, Print, and Order
Yes. Full-color printing is available, with digital, offset, and flexographic routes plus CMYK and PMS or spot-color options. Printing can cover the outside and inside surfaces, so you can keep a parent brand consistent, distinguish products, and continue selected visual cues after opening. The final print route and color plan are confirmed against the approved board, artwork, quantity, and production specification.
Yes. A polished result comes from coordinated structure, print, surface treatment, and fit—not from one material label alone. Matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot UV, foil, embossing, debossing, raised effects, and aqueous coating are available for supported paperboard builds. We will help select the treatments that support the intended quality and attention hierarchy rather than adding effects without a clear job.
Yes. Inside printing is available, and paperboard, cardstock, corrugated, cardboard, or custom die-cut foam inserts can be considered where the approved structure supports them. Use the inside to carry selected colors or messages, separate components, and control what customers see first. A simple retail carton may need direct access, while a set, kit, or presentation box may benefit from a more guided arrangement.
You can consider straight tuck, reverse tuck, auto-bottom, lock-bottom, sleeve, two-piece, window, display, counter display, gable, pillow, pyramid, hexagon, and other custom-shaped paperboard formats. Round and tube boxes are not offered. The final choice depends on the product, dimensions, pack count, opening, artwork, and production specification, so we will narrow the list around your actual use rather than ask you to choose from names alone.
Not automatically. FSC paper is available for selected materials, but not every material, and this page does not carry a universal environmental certification. We will not add unsupported eco-friendly, recyclable, biodegradable, compostable, plastic-free, or recycled-content claims to artwork. Share the exact wording you want to use so the selected stock and any available documentation can be checked before approval.
Yes. Supported paperboard orders may start from 50 boxes, and that starting quantity does not automatically remove relevant choices in custom size, material, outside or inside printing, finishes, or inserts. Every combination still depends on the approved structure and production specification. This gives a growing brand room to prepare a launch, promotion, or product range without moving straight to a very large first run.
Yes. Dieline or template support, artwork checking, resizing, bleed and safe-zone assistance, and production design support are available. Accepted production files include AI, PDF, PSD, and EPS. A digital proof is available for every approved order so you can review the agreed artwork and specification before printing. A physical prototype may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, with its cost adjusted into the resulting order where approved.
Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval, and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate, while complex multi-design orders may require a separately confirmed schedule. This is planning guidance, not a guarantee of seven-day delivery, so share any launch or event deadline before the job is approved.
