Plan a Gift Box That Works From Quote to Delivery

A confident gift-box order starts with a few connected decisions: what must fit, how the gift will be handed over or delivered, how artwork should move across the structure and when the finished order is needed. Our role is to help turn those inputs into an approved production specification. The more clearly the contents, arrangement, channel, quantity and launch date are defined, the easier it is to select a useful structure, prepare the dieline, review the proof and plan production without avoidable changes later.

1. 
   Start With the Actual Gift, Not an Assumed Size

   Custom sizing should begin with the contents rather than a guessed standard box. Record the length, width and height of each item, including any wrapping or inner container that will remain in the finished pack. For irregular products, define the widest and tallest points. A multi-item gift also needs the pack count, intended orientation, spacing, insert plan and enough removal clearance for the recipient to lift each piece. These inputs help the packaging team plan the structure and arrangement without inventing dimensions. They also reduce the chance that artwork is prepared on a dieline that later changes because the product configuration was incomplete.

   Plan the Interior Around How the Set Will Be Explored

   For a multi-product gift, decide whether every item should appear at once or whether the recipient should move through the set in stages. Foam, paperboard, kraft and corrugated inserts can be tailored around different components, while dividers and trays can separate products that need a clear visual order. Share the number of items, their shapes and the preferred lift-out sequence before the insert is finalized. This lets the interior support selection instead of becoming a generic cavity layout. Inside printing can then be positioned around the arrangement, where it remains visible and useful rather than being covered by the products.

   Prepare Artwork for Every Surface That Has a Job

   Decide which surfaces must identify the sender, explain the occasion, distinguish a collection or continue a message inside. Printing is available on relevant front, back, top, bottom, outside and inside surfaces. Full-color CMYK, PMS or spot color, white ink on kraft and metallic ink are supported production routes. Artwork and dieline support are available, including a free dieline or template, file checking, resizing and help with bleed and safe zones. Accepted production files include AI, PDF, PSD and EPS. Keep the visual priority clear: the main brand cue, gift or collection name and any recipient message should not compete equally across every panel.

   Use the Dieline and Digital Proof as Approval Tools

   A digital proof is available for every approved order, giving you a defined checkpoint before printing begins. Review the artwork placement, spelling, color references, inside and outside coverage and the relationship between graphics and structural folds or panels. Structure confirmation matters as much as visual approval because a size or configuration change can alter the dieline. A digital proof is not a physical prototype. For a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, a physical prototype may be available, and its cost may be adjusted into the resulting order where approved. This is a conditional project option rather than an automatic sample offer.

   Choose a Quantity That Fits the Gifting Program

   Paperboard, cardstock, kraft and supported corrugated gift-box orders may start from 50 boxes. Supported rigid gift boxes may start from 25, including relevant magnetic or foam-insert configurations. Starting at these quantities does not automatically remove meaningful choices in custom sizing, material, printing, finishes or inserts; the final options remain subject to the approved structure and production specification. Per-unit pricing generally improves as quantity increases, with more visible price differences often appearing around 500 units. No fixed saving percentage should be assumed. For orders with many separate designs, confirm the schedule because the additional setups can affect production planning.

   Confirm Production, Shipping and Address Requirements Early

   Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate, while complex multi-design orders may require a separately confirmed schedule. Share a launch, event or delivery date before approval so the production and transit plan can be checked against it. One order can also be shipped to multiple addresses. Provide the address list, quantity split and required timing during the quote stage so the team can confirm the workable shipping arrangement rather than treating distribution as a last-minute change. Bring the product measurements, item count, preferred arrangement, gifting route, artwork files, quantity and required date into the first discussion. Those details give the team a practical starting point for recommending a structure, preparing the dieline and confirming a production plan you can approve with confidence.
