In-House Production
Give every mochi assortment a box that communicates flavor, care and gift appeal before the customer lifts the lid or selects the first piece. In a display, handoff, product photo or delivery arrival, shoppers have only a brief moment to understand what makes your mochi worth choosing. Custom sizing, coordinated artwork and a structure suited to the assortment can turn a plain carton into a clear expression of the collection. The result is a box that helps flavors feel organized, the brand remain recognizable and the product feel deliberately prepared for retail, gifting, events or direct customer orders. We build custom mochi boxes around the result you want customers to experience: an inviting first view, a connected range and an opening sequence that feels considered. Whether you are preparing a small launch, a seasonal assortment or a gift presentation, the box can be planned around your product, brand and chosen sales moment. That outcome is supported through coordinated structure, material, print, finishes and interior planning. Paperboard, kraft, rigid and relevant corrugated formats are available, along with exterior or interior printing, window options, inserts, dividers, foil, embossing and other finish routes. Artwork checking, dieline support and a digital proof help confirm the job before production, while low starting quantities make meaningful customization accessible without forcing a large first run.

STRUCTURES FOR THE ASSORTMENT
Choose a Structure That Fits the Mochi Experience
Mochi boxes should be chosen around the assortment, the selling moment and the way customers will open and explore the product. A compact retail carton may need fast flavor recognition, while a gift set may call for a slower reveal and a more substantial feel. Window, sleeve-and-tray, tuck-end and two-piece routes each create a different balance of visibility, arrangement and occasion value. We help you compare those routes against pack count, insert needs, brand expression and the intended handoff, so the structure supports the customer experience rather than competing with it.
Tuck-End Mochi Cartons
Choose a compact tuck-end carton for single varieties, small assortments or streamlined retail packs. Custom proportions help the structure follow the intended arrangement, while coordinated panels keep the mochi name, flavor cues and brand easy to understand.
- Single or mixed assortments
- Fit-led carton proportions
- Full-panel branded printing
- Retail and handoff use
A practical route when clear range recognition and easy access matter more than a layered reveal.

Window Mochi Boxes
Use a die-cut window when seeing the product supports selection, gifting or appetite appeal. The window shape, surrounding artwork and internal arrangement can work together so the pack feels intentional rather than exposed or visually busy.
- Product view before opening
- Custom window shapes
- Printed frame around window
- Retail, gifting or pickup
A visible preview helps explain the assortment while allowing the brand to remain the leading visual element.

Sleeve-and-Tray Mochi Boxes
Create a more deliberate reveal for curated flavors, gift sets or seasonal collections. The sleeve carries the first brand message, while the tray and any insert plan guide how the assortment appears and is explored after opening.
- Curated flavor arrangements
- Sliding tray presentation
- Inside and outside printing
- Gift and seasonal formats
The layered opening gives the collection a stronger sense of occasion without depending on excessive decoration.

Two-Piece Mochi Gift Boxes
Use a lid-and-base or two-piece structure when the assortment needs greater presence at gifting, events or a more formal handoff. Paperboard, kraft and rigid routes let the physical feel align with the intended quality and order scale.
- Assortment or gift-set sizing
- Optional inserts and dividers
- Foil or embossed branding
- Gifting and event handoff
A more substantial structure helps the assortment feel composed from first sight through the final reveal.
Customize NowMATERIAL-LED BOX CHARACTER
Build the Right Feel Behind the First Impression
The material sets the physical tone before customers study the artwork. Smooth paperboard can give detailed graphics and bright collection colors cleaner definition, while kraft supports a more natural or craft-led identity. Rigid greyboard can give curated assortments greater presence at gifting or handoff, and corrugated board can carry the same branded character into relevant mailer or presentation formats. We help you choose by the intended impression, handling needs, interior appearance and structure—not by board thickness alone.
Smooth Paperboard
Use SBS or another supported paperboard route when sharp print definition, clean folds and a polished retail character are the priority. White, coated, kraft or uncoated interior appearances can be considered according to the selected specification. This route works well when detailed artwork, flavor distinctions and consistent collection colors need to remain visually clear.
Natural Kraft
Kraft can support handmade, traditional, ingredient-led or understated brand directions. White ink and full-color printing are available when the design needs contrast without losing the material’s natural character. The result can feel grounded and distinctive while still carrying clear product names, flavor cues and parent-brand elements.
Rigid Greyboard
Rigid greyboard gives gift assortments and special collections a more substantial hand feel and a slower, more deliberate opening. Overwrap materials, linen options, magnetic closures and ribbon pulls can support the chosen presentation. Choose this route when the physical presence of the box should contribute to the value of the gift or collection.
Branded Corrugated Board
Corrugated board works for selected mochi mailers, product boxes and presentation formats where more structure is useful. Printing and finishing can carry the brand character beyond a plain transport appearance. This material should support a branded product experience rather than position the box as a large commodity shipping carton.
FLAVOR, OCCASION & BRAND
Make Every Mochi Collection Easy to Recognize
Before a customer tastes the mochi, the box may need to explain flavor, collection, occasion and brand in a single view. Use custom printing to give each variety a distinct cue while keeping the parent identity consistent across the range. Full-color CMYK, PMS spot colors, white ink on kraft, metallic ink and inside printing provide the production routes; the business value is clearer selection, stronger range continuity and a box that remains recognizable in retail, photography, gifting, pickup or delivery. Information panels can also be planned into the artwork, while the customer remains responsible for any legally required product information.
- Give each flavor a clear cue
- Keep every variety visibly connected
- Make gift occasions easy to read
- Carry the brand across all panels
- Continue the story inside the box
- Reserve space for required information
SURFACE DETAILS WITH PURPOSE
Control What Customers Notice and Feel First
Mochi packaging can look busy when color, flavor cues and decorative effects all compete for attention. The goal is to decide what should lead: the brand, the assortment name, a seasonal message or the product view. Matte, gloss, soft-touch, foil, embossing, debossing and raised spot effects can each support a different impression. Their value comes from creating order and tactile interest, not from adding every option at once.
-
Set the Overall Mood
Matte or soft-touch lamination can give gifting, traditional or understated collections a quieter and more considered surface. Gloss can support brighter artwork when energetic color and stronger surface clarity better match the product identity. The choice should reinforce the intended character of the collection before selective details are added.
-
Direct Attention to What Matters
Foil stamping, embossing, debossing or raised spot effects can give the logo, collection name or occasion message greater visual and tactile weight. These treatments work best when they guide the eye toward one or two important elements. A clear focal point helps the customer understand the pack without making every surface compete for notice.
-
Give Special Editions Occasion Value
Seasonal flavors, event assortments and gift releases can use selective foil, surface contrast or raised details to feel distinct from the core range while remaining connected to the same parent brand. This gives the special edition its own moment without requiring a completely disconnected packaging identity.
OPENING WITH A CLEAR RHYTHM
Guide the Customer From First Reveal to Final Choice
An appealing exterior creates an expectation, but the interior determines whether that promise continues when the box opens. For gift sets, mixed flavors, event assortments or direct customer orders, the inside should make the collection easy to understand and enjoyable to explore. Printed internal surfaces can continue the brand mood, while inserts, dividers and trays can give each piece or variety a deliberate place. The result is a reveal that feels composed, helps customers navigate the assortment and supports the same brand character established on the outside.
-
Continue Keep the Identity Present
Carry relevant colors, patterns or short messaging onto the inside surfaces so the visual character established outside remains present after the lid, sleeve or carton opens. Interior printing should extend the main idea rather than introduce an unrelated second design.
-
Guide Make the Assortment Easy to Explore
Use inserts, dividers, trays and considered spacing to organize different varieties or pieces around a clear arrangement. The goal is to help customers understand the collection without making selection or removal unnecessarily difficult. A well-planned interior can make mixed flavors feel intentionally connected while keeping each part of the assortment visually distinct.
-
Reward Shape the First Reveal
Plan what the customer sees first, how the assortment is framed and how individual pieces or trays are accessed. A sleeve, lid, printed interior or structured insert can each contribute to that sequence. The opening should reward the expectation created by the exterior and bring the customer naturally into the collection.
Plan the Box, Artwork and Order With Confidence
A strong mochi box starts with clear decisions before production. The following steps help you define the assortment, choose a structure, prepare artwork and plan quantity without relying on guessed dimensions or vague specifications. Our team can support sizing, dielines, material choices, artwork checks and proofing, while you retain control of the product information and final approved design.
-
Start With the Actual Packing Arrangement
Share the product’s length, width and height, along with the number of pieces, intended orientation and any cups, wraps, trays or other inner components that affect fit. For mixed assortments, show how many varieties need separate positions and whether customers should lift pieces individually or remove an entire tray. We also need to understand any irregular shape, wrapping thickness, insert depth and removal clearance. Exact box dimensions should come from the confirmed packing setup, not a generic size. A close fit can help the assortment look deliberate, but it must still allow practical packing and access. Dieline development can begin once the structure, arrangement and measurements are clear.
-
Choose the Structure Around the Sales Moment
A tuck-end carton can suit compact retail or handoff packs, while a window format adds a product view. A sleeve-and-tray route can create a more staged reveal, and a two-piece or rigid box can give a gift assortment greater physical presence. Inserts, dividers and trays are useful when varieties need clear separation or when the first view should follow a planned arrangement. The best route depends on whether the box will appear on a shelf, at a counter, in product photography, as a gift, at an event or in a relevant delivery format. One structure does not need to serve every channel. We can compare the options against assembly, opening, brand visibility and order quantity before the dieline is approved.
-
Build the Artwork on the Approved Dieline
Free dieline or template support is available, along with artwork checking, resizing and help with bleed and safe zones. AI, PDF, PSD and EPS files are accepted. Printing can cover the front, back, top, bottom, outside and inside, so the design can connect flavor cues, parent-brand elements and the opening experience instead of treating each panel as a separate afterthought. A digital proof is available for every approved order. Use it to confirm artwork placement, text, colors, panel order and the relationship between exterior and interior printing before production. No die or plate fee applies. Printing does not begin until payment, final artwork approval and structure confirmation are complete. The buyer remains responsible for legally required food or product information.
-
Confirm Material, Interior and Food-Use Details
Supported routes include paperboard, cardstock, kraft, rigid greyboard and corrugated board for relevant structures. White, kraft and coated interior appearances are available, and grease-resistant coating can be discussed where useful. Tell the team whether the mochi will touch the carton directly or sit in another inner format, because that choice affects the material and interior specification. Direct food contact can be planned, but the available proof does not support an FDA-certified packaging claim. Required product, ingredient, allergen, handling or other legal information remains the buyer’s responsibility. We can reserve and print the necessary panels without presenting the box as certified or fully compliant.
-
Plan Quantity, Pricing, Proofing and Timing
Paperboard, cardstock, kraft and supported corrugated orders may start from 50 boxes. Supported rigid-box orders may start from 25. These starting quantities can still include relevant custom sizing, printing, finishes and inserts, subject to the approved structure and production specification. Per-unit pricing generally improves as quantity increases, with more visible differences often appearing around 500 units. A physical prototype may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, and its cost may be adjusted into the resulting order where approved. This is separate from the digital proof and should not be presented as an unrestricted free sample. The same order can also be shipped to multiple addresses when needed. Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate, while complex multi-design orders may require a separately confirmed schedule. Share the assortment details, intended channel, desired opening style and artwork status when requesting a quote. That gives the team enough context to recommend a structure and prepare a more accurate production plan.
MOCHI BOX DECISIONS
Answers Before You Size, Print and Order
Yes. A small mochi business can start with packaging built around its own assortment and brand without committing to a large first run. Paperboard, cardstock, kraft and supported corrugated formats may start from 50 boxes, while supported rigid formats may start from 25. Relevant custom sizing, outside or inside printing, finishes and inserts can remain available at those quantities, subject to the approved structure and production specification. This gives you room to test a launch, prepare a seasonal offer or introduce a gift collection without defaulting to generic stock packaging.
Start with the way the assortment will be sold and opened. A tuck-end carton can suit compact retail or handoff packs, a window box can provide a product view, a sleeve-and-tray format can create a more staged reveal, and a two-piece or rigid box can give a gift set more physical presence. Share the pack count, arrangement, channel and desired opening sequence, and the team can compare the routes against fit, assembly, branding and order quantity.
Yes. Inserts, dividers and trays can be planned around the number of pieces, the intended arrangement and the way customers should explore the collection. Foam, paperboard, cardstock, kraft, corrugated and cardboard insert routes are supported, depending on the box and product setup. The insert should do more than fill space. It should help different varieties remain visually organized, make the first view feel deliberate and allow practical removal. Final dimensions should be based on the actual mochi and any inner components.
Yes. A die-cut window can be created in custom shapes and paired with window patching where appropriate. The useful decision is how much of the assortment should be visible and whether the window helps customers understand the product before opening. The surrounding artwork should still carry the brand, flavor or occasion message, so the box does not become visually dependent on the window alone. The final window and material setup should be confirmed as part of the approved structure.
Yes. Direct food contact can be planned, and grease-resistant coating is available, but the available proof does not support an FDA-certified packaging claim. Tell the team whether the mochi will touch the carton directly or sit in cups, wraps, trays or another inner format. That detail helps determine the material, interior appearance and coating route. You remain responsible for any legally required product, ingredient, allergen, handling or other information printed on the box.
Provide the length, width and height of the product or arranged set, the number of pieces, their orientation and any inner cups, wraps, trays, inserts or dividers. Also note irregular shapes, wrapping thickness and the clearance needed for packing and removal. Exact dimensions should be developed from those inputs rather than copied from a generic box. The team can then prepare or adjust the dieline around the approved packing arrangement.
You will receive a digital proof for every approved order before production. It can be used to check panel placement, text, artwork scale, exterior and interior printing and the relationship between the design and the dieline. Artwork checking, resizing, bleed and safe-zone support are also available, and AI, PDF, PSD and EPS files are accepted. A physical prototype is different: it may be available for a qualifying bulk or wholesale project, with cost adjustment subject to approval.
Production normally takes 4–6 business days after payment, final artwork approval and structure confirmation. Production-ready jobs are generally planned to print and ship within 7 business days. Shipping transit time is separate. A complex order with many designs or setup changes may need a separately confirmed schedule, which should be discussed before production begins. This timing is a planning standard, not a promise of seven-day delivery.
